OC Problems

Thread Starter
So recently my processor is starting to freak out on me. Mind you it was never oc'ed more than 3.4 due to mobo limitations. Whenever i up my fsb even 5 i get file errors all over the place. It boots fine and all but everything starts failing in windows. Any help on this? im just hoping my cpu is fine and its like a mobo error or something. Runs perfectly fine @ stock.

have you increased voltage at all?

LOL? Did you look out for not overclocking the RAM?
SImilar happend to me after really abusing the timings. After that i couldn`t even load CCC. At this point i knew that i`ve gone too far with the RAM. Check your RAM if it is in a good condition. Hopefully this will help. If yes give a lol back

as mr.eiht said,
is your ram at stock spped, and have you changed the timings?
also q9550's can go to 1.4v so even try an extra bit of voltage,
also have you increased the voltage to the northbridge? just raise it a notch or 2
and try enabling Loadline Calibration, as this helps minimize vdroop, so enable this if you have it

My oc has been stable for very long, plus its nothing major like i said due to mobo limitations this happened all of a sudden. Trying now different ram configs...

Because there is this thing called "electro migration" which causes what-the-heck-not.

After a year this could be the case that you need to retweak the settings
