Is the difference between ssd's large?

I realize that the ct300 has around a 350 mb/s read speed. However, does the higher sustained read versus a 200 mb/s read speed ssd create a noticeable difference as a boot drive? I'm debating between this ssd, and a cheaper, smaller 30 gb vertex ssd. I only plan to install windows 7 and aound a max of 10 gigs of programs on it. However, with the difference being only around $50, it's a tough call.

If you are talking about an original vertex and not a vertex 2 the difference is night and day,as the crucial drive is way better.Even better than a vertex 2.There is brand new sandforce drives out now that are almost twice as fast as the vertex 2.

I would definitely get the newest tech that I can,for the extra money.
Your motherboard plays a big factor in this as well.If you don't have a newer board than the drives won't perform as intended.

I would be running this board on a Gigabyte 890fxa-UD5. I was going to get the CHIV, but I was short $40.
