Fast Phone or Cheap Service

Thread Starter
Quick Simple Question:

I am trying out an Optimus V. It is a low/mid end Android phone with a 600 Mhz Processor and 512 MB RAM. It is on Virgin Mobile

The next cheapest option for me is T-mobile (who I currently have). The cost of T-mobile is much higher than Virgin, but the phones are better.

Which would you rather have - a super fast phone (Vibrant, G2X) or a phone that can get by but won't blow you away AND $1400 over 2 years?

Virgin mobile uses Sprint's network, so no sim card swapping.
T-mo definitely has better phone options. Is lower cost than most others. THey have some deals going on now that you could take advantage of.
Yes, ATT is trying to buy them out, but with the laws in US I see its doubtful.

If I were to switch to my own carrier from AT&T, it would be T-Mobile. I think as long as you see that you will have service on their maps from where you will be most frequently, you can't go wrong. T-Mobile's coverage is actually not bad at all, and it's relatively cheap compared to Verizon and AT&T.

I'd say go for T-Mobile. They do indeed have better phones, but the service you'll get in return for around $60-70 a month will be highly worth it.

i would say tmobile has weaker towers than AT&T and sometimes you go in a room and the reception is totally cut off and then when u go out you get full bars. but ive NEVER had a Tmobile to Tmobile call drop, only when i call AT&T cheap internet btw! 30$ for UNLIMITED FAST INTERNET!
