This reminds me of an ultra ancient Quantum Bigfoot 5'25" drive I saw once at my tech service...
It was left behind in a pile of old drives, I plugged it just for the sake of it and...
IT STILL HAD A WORKING WIN 3.1 INSTALLATION!
It was noisy as hell, but the speed curve was the flattest I've ever seen. It looked like an USB memory rather than a hard disk O.O
IIRC, I sitll have the curve somewhere. Will post it if I find it
Edit: Why is there so much Seagate hate? I have eight drives that have NEVER failed, going from 160 to 500GB, from 7200.9 to 7200.12, and the oldest is from 2002 and still kicks!!
Wait... I have a 30GB Barracuda 7200.5, IDE... That thing is from late 1999 and kicks asses here and there. It still works like a charm.Edited by Artikbot - 4/10/11 at 4:42pm
