All would be right in the world.
Oh right so 2K could make buggy NFL games like they do with MLB games?
How about taking the licenses back and make the developers compete for them. The best game that year wins. Instead of having a White Mike Singletary roaming the sidelines(no joke EA can't even get Race correct) like a few years back the Developers would be forced to think in advance for once.
Every year it's a brand new competition. Once you've got the bulk you can edit the players to their collective teams and just concentrate on Graphics and controls. Have special divisions just for signature moves just like the ECW, WWE, NCW titles characters do. Sack Brees 5 yards deep in the backfield then you can can perform your own special Sack Dance. Hit a Home Run off Halladay you can point in his direction and give him the no no finger waggle as you head to first.
MLB2K9 took out the manager and Pitcher ejections. Put em back in that's what makes the game interesting. Does your Manager tick off the Ump or does your Pitcher get ejected in the 3rd cause he's having a bad day and takes it out on the Hitter?
This 4 to 5 year and beyond licensing allows the Developers to just sit back collect the money and not do much of anything new to the title. I was pretty peeved about one of the Madden games on 360 having a 40 time trial where you have to use the thumbsticks to run. That's such a pain in the butt. I got rid of that one and haven't gotten any since. MLB 2K9 was so buggy, that the fielders from Home Plate to CF would just do stupid shiz. Run around in a circle when you're pushing the correct direction, you want to dive toward the OF the Infielders jump up instead, missing the ball so badly it allows a single to turn into a Triple(though that does sometimes happen) in shallow territory.
Competition is what Sports are all about. In the developers world, not so much. We're long since past Tecmo Bowl.
