OCZ Vertex 2 40GB & 120GB write speed problem...

I was transferring a 10.8GB 1080p mkv file from one 120GB to another 120GB and windows is showing a sustained transfer speed of ~70MB/s.

Is this a problem with the new Hynix 32nm chips used? Shouldn't I be getting at least a 200MB/s sustained write speed?
Shhhhh!

No.
Considering the nature of a .mkv file, chances are this write speed is totally normal. I'd try benching it just to be safe though. Just make sure you read up on proper SSD benching procedures as to not wear out your drive very quickly.

Also, don't go by Window's estimate. It gives you an average, but it's very slow to update.
Some people recommend it, but I hate it.

Try ATTO or HD Tune I guess.

It's a 10.8GB file so there's plenty of time for Windows to average out the sustained transfer speed.

I was reading up on Anandtech about how SSDs sustained transfer speed suffers when it comes to transferring incompressible data.
