Returning my GTX 590, it's running WAY too hot! Other 590 users please help! - Page 11

And why is a 280 running 80c way cooler then a 590 running @ 95-100c O_O I mean its not much of a difference, counting in that its a dual GPU PCB.

I got tired of reading all of the crap in this thread at page 5. I saw it acknowledged one time and I'll say it to the OP again. Sorry if this was solved. The problem you are experiencing is that the 590 is an internal exhaust card. I have 2 internal exhaust 460's in my 800d and after playing some high stress games or furmark it feels ungodly hot in my case. This is normal since the 800d or any case EVEN high airflow(had a 1200 with fans EVERYWHERE though not as hot) cases. The only solution that would indeed fix your "hot" temperatures is to watercool the card.

Thread needs cleaning. This isn't 4Chan, Reddit or any other such site. People need to understand the only wanted help, not an argument. Although that seems to be the only reason people post anymore.

Pretty sure 580 SLI is stronger than the 590, so yeah... My $365 cards are about even with a 590, for half the price. Now clearly mine are overclocked whereas the 590 and 580s aren't I'm not delusional in my thinking that when overclocked at least the 580s are going break away. But the 590, well thats a different story. OCP, poor VRM design, these are two of my least favorite things.

So I'll stand by my statement that the 590 is a poor card, with poor overclocking potential, too large a price tag, and overall for the price, poor performance.
You've got ot be kidding me?? That is the most idiotic reasoning I have ever heard, and fyi, is not even proper English in regards to what you are trying to say. Your cards, which total $730, are about even with a GT590... for the same price. You can't just compare the price of one card and the performance of two, and I don't even really think you believe what you are saying makes sense. You sound like one of those people that just hates to admit when they made a dumb statement, so they would rather make 20 more stupid statements to try and cover it!! The words "half the price" should not even be used in this discussion.

Your sentence: My $365 cards are about even with a 590, for half the price is not grammatically correct in any way. You started off with a subject that is plural (ie "cards"), and then ended by talking about a price in regards to a singular item. Your entire argument is nonsense, saying you misspoke initially would be a LOT easier than trying so hard to make sense of what you wrote

I have to agree. They did say that a little wrong. However it is a stated fact that the internal SLi on the 590 does not scale on the same level as that of the 580's. Therefore 2 580's in theory should outperform a 590. However SLi scaling will only be as good as the drivers and the program that you are using.
