I feel as this thread has gone for long enough. Everything that needed to be said, has been said.

OP,

I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with the product. The GTX590 is the best NVIDIA has to offer and the price you pay for that is : HEAT. I would also be worried if the dissipated heat from the card would warm my tubing and water cooling components. Have your other temperatures gone up by a lot since you installed the GTX 590?

GTX 280 @ 85-90c = Comfortable temps inside case

Does everyone get it now?
YES

no need for big fonts. What everyone is trying to say is that it's perfectly normal for a GTX 590 to do that. Your previous card was a (by fermi standards lol) a relatively cool, low TDP card. Now the GTX 590 has 2 GF110 chips on a single PCB. even one GF110 would probably produce more heat than your GTX 280, and you have 2 of them.

590 is hot and dumps heat inside too, hence your case is hotter than with the 280.

Since you have a CPU loop already just put the 590 into it too and problem solved?

It exhausts heat inside the case, but put a thermometer into the case and let us see what you called unbearable heat...
Also, what r mobo and cpu temps ? and take a pic of the "almost burnt". Pls stop feeling and touching it........

The card have the same temperature, but the heat it's producing is going away from the card, yes gpu core has temp of 70, but the heat it's producing is going in the case if the cooling is not sufficient...

Let's make this compare in practice:

You have an old nvidia 6600 card, on the gpu it's running 80 temps, but the manufacturer states it's producing max 150W, so your case cooling is sufficient inave to take those 150W outside the case.

Now you just bought your new super card, but the temps in the case are higher...Why?
Manufacturer states it's producing peak power around 400W(don't know the power, it's just a comparison) and the cooling system was never made to cool down other components, except the gpu core, which is in my oppinion inave cold-hot for such a card...

So...your problem is the in/out fans, which can't keep up with the heat of your new card....

It's such a simple way to know...

You get back in the morning, start up the computer, everything is ok until you start the games or anything gpu-needed, for several minutes/seconds the temperature is ok, but when the heat is rising the case fans can't keep up with the heat which they would need to take out of the case...And when you stop playing/using gpu, the temperatures won't drop because other components had already heaten up....

That's pretty much it from the 6 months of my offline profile

You should talk. This overheating junk of a video card is worth more than your entire rig.
Your logic is retarded.

its hotter, yes. its nearly 4x more powerful than the gtx280. it has 2 GPU's, you can expect it to run a little bit hotter, its not going to melt anything in your case, fact.

Why are you worried about it burning your fingers? do you fondle your videocard at night? my god, man up, and stop stroking it. Pointless thread is pointless, and troll OP is troll.

Also, you have a WC loop on the CPU. the increased case temp will make little difference to anything else so i really dont see the point in this. You dont live inside your case so the temp shouldn't matter.

Sorry to correct you but.

GTX280. Around 5850-5870 speed.

GTX570- about 1.5 times faster.

It's only 2.5-3 times faster.

Its 2 580 cores, not the slimmed down 570 cores.
