9600gt fan died

Thread Starter
So my 9600gt fan died and i tried running it without he fan and turned all case fans to full blast but it did not work and i shut it off at 80 degrees celsius. I am looking for a aftermarket cooler that will work for it. I would prefer a cheap and quiet one as this is for a htpc. Would applying arctic silver instead of thermal tape and buying a antec spotcool work adequately or is there a cheap heatsink and fan that will fit on this card? Would maybe underclocking the gfx card in rivatuner make it better? I will be doing no gaming just hd movies. Any help would be much appreciated =]

That happened to my friend he brought it over and I went ghetto and got some zip ties and strapped a fan onto it his has passive cooling though so it was easier. If your has a shroud if you dont care much about take the shroud off and mount a fan on it.
