Blackwidow Ultimate.... Defective.

So I got my BWU in..... and the headphone pass through is defective. I everything echos and distant. The mic jack works fine and I tried two different headphones.



So... what's Razor's RMA process? Cross-shipping?

Don't expect Razer to respond to a ticket enquiry for quite some time. I've had one in for over three weeks now with no response.

When my (three) Ultimates were defective I just returned them to the store I bought them from and they RMA'd them from there.

Well, when I had to ship my DeathAdder Black Edition back for RMA (link to my thread), they didn't require the original box, software or documentation. In fact, they told me to keep everything and just send them a bare mouse which I did. They sent me back a brand new one (or at least it looked brand new lol) in a retail box with everything. They didn't mention anything about cross-shippping though.

Hopefully it's the same with their keyboard unless they're from different department or something.

I opened a ticket (or w/e you call it) with razer for my deathadder, and while they sent me about 4 e-mails to see if I could fix it (did you try it with a different os/computer etc) eventually I got to the point where they sent me an rma code or w/e.

Send them an e-mail telling them it doesn't work on multiple os's, and across numerous computers and they are pretty good at getting right back to you and giving you the necessary info.

While I can't comment on how fast the ship out their rma'ed products (as mine is still on its way) I can comment that they should give you the info pretty quickly.

A few years ago I tried to RMA my Lycosa as the media buttons stopped working. Long story short I still have theat same non working keyboard in my closet. They wouldn't approve a RMA for that, no matter how hard I tried.

Heh, I edited my OP to include a link to my thread. That side coating was wearing off prematurely and trust me, I did not scratch it. Now that I have a brand new one, I'm too afraid to use it since it might wear off again (using my R.A.T. 7 for now).

AH, mine had some firmware issues or something.. hoping it will be fixed when I get it back (/ new one). While I love my mx510, the dpi just isn't high enough for my screen resolution

The headphone passthrough should do nothing electrically with your signals so it's not the cause of your echo.


It's like Gold Plated USB connectors. Either makes the connection or it doesn't.
