Is my i5 2500 dead? - Page 2

tried each stick of ram, gpu is fine, psu is fine, this is 2nd mobo that did same thing

anybody have any idea where the clear bios jumper is?

Hmmm, tried the cmos jumper, the memok button and yeah... still nothing

It should be right next to the front panel hdd led, power and reset connections (bottom right of the board). Its a little blue cap that sits on 2 pins and there is 1 pin next to the cap. The jumper needs to get moved to that pin, like I said your manual will help you.

If its two different boards I doubt its the jumper fix thats gonna work.

What all do you have plugged into the machine? just keyboard? the power and keyboard are the onlythings that should be plugged in. Heck even take the keyboard out on a try.

ouch, did you overclock it, doesnt matter you should be able to get rma, sorry bro, but who knows, maybe youll get a golden chip back.

golden chip or not, this blows, it was for a friend and its been taking a while to build due to this situation.

Go back to first page (sorry not on the pc at the moment) and try the method i posted on clearing the cmos, using the method i posted doesnt require you to move jumper, taking the battery is enough to clear cmos.

By the way did you try both ram sticks? Can you try a stick from your sig rig?
