If you need to save some money I suggest a knock-off USB receiver and get a used wireless 360 controller, I have two of the no-name receivers and they work as well as the real one I use with my HTPC.

The best part is that they are less than $12 each: Link to $12 Xbox 360 Wireless Controller Gaming Receiver

Hope that helps you out!

Thanks everyone for the advice! Seems like I'm going to go with the xbox dongle! +rep to all!
Talking about them is definately frowned upon. Linking software/instructions for breaking copy protection is a big no no

I would also recommend the xbox controller. Mine isn't wireless but it is an awesome controller.

360 controller, I have one it works great, plus most of the games coming out today seem to be already configured to use the button mappings on the 360 controller.

What I would like to know, is there a wireless controller for the PC that is like the PS3 controller, where you recharge the controller by plugging it to the system. I do not like the idea of the changing batteries the whole time.

Basically, a rechargeable battery inside the controller is what I am looking at.

Yes, they are called Play and Charge batteries. It's a battery pack that is rechargeable, and you charge it by plugging a cable included with the pack that plugs into the USB of the 360 and the port on the top of the controller.

I would also like to find where I can buy a wireless receiver for my wireless controllers. NewEgg has them deactivated

There is a USB charger for the 360 that goes into your system, but it doesn't carry the signal so you still have to have the wireless receiver attached
