Since most reviews says it doesn't, except for one graph that you didn't even link the review Seems the 550 ti is close to a 5770, a little better at higher resolutions. A 460 would be better

Calm down there sir, I didn't mean to knock you off your high horse. I'm merely offering evidence to prove a fact... and no, it was the first Google result for '550Ti benchmark' on the most popular/suitable game I could find for reference.

Calm down man, I didn't personally offend you or anything.

Looks like your friends have bad luck with getting dead gpus, My nvidia gpus(which are solely used for physxs) that i have bought which is only two of them so far, my 9600 was faultly, my 9800 decided to have driver issues without the physx hack and ati drivers installed, did i completely disregard Nvidia completely, no, because it an electronic device and all those are not perfect, You should disregard any company if the comparible product could be better than what you planned on getting in the same price range. Its foolish to think that every piece of electronic is going to work out of the box. Faulty product happen... Should we take it and not moan about it to the company no, you better get a working product from them, but that stuff happens.

Sometimes you need luck to have a good video card.
At this time Nvidia cards suck more quality wise.Practically all my Nvidia cards since my unlocked 6200 (NV43) had issues. All died prematurelly.
Nvidia drivers sucked more also looking back.
The ATI cards that i have now seem quite ok ,though i would have thought ATI drivers are crap. But no ,ATI drivers are decent and the hardware satisfied me untill now.
Cooler cards ,less noise at similar price.
