Same here. The lowest they have it for now is $287.

I just discovered the Dell U2411H!!!!!!!!!!I didn't know it existed! It has an IPS panel too,5ms compared to 2311's 8ms,it's 24",16:10 and it is CHEAP (~300 Euros)!!How come no one mentioned it?Is it really new or something?I think that this is ideal for me!

You're probably confusing it with some other monitor. The U2411H doesn't exist. The P2411H does exist though. Completely different panel.

Yeah. I'm fine with a 23" monitor, so I figure I might as well wait until the U2311 goes on sale for a good deal.

I'll be sure to post here if I come by a deal on the U2311H. I'm in the market for a 3rd one right now. The last sweet deal was through Dell's ebay store.

U2311 have an excessive AG coating, and have 6bit linke a normal TN not 8bit !

I'd get the TN panel too. If you're just gaming and browsing the web you won't even notice the difference.

I gamed for years on a samsung monitor that can't display the colour red properly and it was just fine.

But if there's not much price difference then i'd get the IPS. Their colours are stunning.

Yes, the U2311H is a 6bit panel, but after using mine for a few days compared to my old Samsung 225BW it's a world of difference.

I did get a bright/stuck pixel in mine though. They're sending me a brand new one at their expense with a prepaid return label.

The 24" Dell has better color reproduction but responds slower. From what I've read the 2311h is the best for gaming because of that.

Contrary to belief I had a 2233rz capable of 120hz which is a tn panel in which I couldn't feel input lag but once I bought a U2711 and tried to game on that I felt enough input lag that it made me want to switch back to my tn, however the U2711 indeed make my Samsung look brutal as the colors on the tn panel look washed out compared to the U2711 where colors are more vivid and full.
