I run 3 U2311H's in eyefinity and they have been great for gaming for me thus far and the improved color accuracy is appreciated as well. Highly reccomended. And i came from 2 different 24" Dell TN's before these

I'd jump on one of those deals with a quickness.

They're currently on sale right now for $249.00 if you wanna bite. $70.00 off on Dell's website with free shipping.

I just saw this myself on their site (been checking daily ), didn't know it was free shipping too, i was always checking for price drops.

anyways, my only thought is do i grab one of these right now or perhaps wait it out for the newer models to be released (3rd quarter i thought i read somewhere)

If i wait i'm guessing it cost roughly an additional $100-$150 to get it upon release (compared to the current sale priced model). No issue spending the extra money if the value behind the newer model warranted it

Also i'll have no real performance to base or compare against, unlike the current model, thoughts?

Starmanwarz, any review of your new monitor, or conclusion at least?
I am in the same situation: i would love to upgrade my 226bw, however I am not sure what should i get; 120hz gaming monitor or IPS like U2311H.
I play competitively in SC2, but I do not really think super high responsiveness is that important in RTS. I watch movies, tv shows frequently and play new games where obviously I will not reach constant ~ 100-120 fps.

U2311H seems pretty cheap actually. Any other monitor worth considering if i choose IPS? LG IPS236V-PN? Semi-pro gaming-focused ofc.

Also, why no one mentioned LG E2370V? From what I have read it is the best IPS for gaming with similliar pricing.

The tinting, back light bleed and excessive anti-glare coating are issues with this monitor that people who are singing its praise conveniently overlook.

Lastly, anyone who says there is no ghosting or input lag while gaming has never compared side by side with a proper CRT or 120Hz monitor. The difference is night and day.
I don't know of any 23" monitor that runs 1920x1200.

Furthermore, you may have just received a bad panel, because my rev A01 has absolutely no bleed whatsoever. To each their own, but I have used a 120Hz monitor and I prefer the vibrant colors that a IPS provides compared to a washed out TN panel.
