Need some help with a build...

Hey guys. Okay my friend is doing a small upgrade and what he has at the moment is:

Core2Duo E7400
3GB RAM
Intel Bad Axe 2 Motherboard
Inno3D GTS250

Now what would be better:

{EDIT} ASUS AM3 NForce750 SLi Chipset Mobo
AMD Athlon x4 645
8GB RAM
***using the GTS250 and SLi in the next couple of months

OR

Asus P5G41T-M LX Motherboard
Graphics Card (Club3D 6850/Inno3D GTX550Ti/Inno3D GTS450 OC Edition)
4GB RAM

He doesn't have a lot to spend, so this is what I thought would be best options for him.

What do you think I should advise him to buy?

I was thinking, maybe:

ASUS M4N75TD NForce 750 SLi Chipset
AMD Phenom II 955
(2x2GB) 4GB Kingston DDR3-1600 RAM
Coolermaster Hyper TX3 with P&P Blade Master fans

This fits perfectly into his budget, with his GTS250.

Would this upgrade be worth it?

I would stay with the gts 250 /SLI the gts 250, for a very small price he will greatly improve his performance! Gts 450 /550 would be no improvrment really!

Yeah i think the gts 250 runs quite well in SLI but a 6850 does run better i think in single.

Sure i would definitly get the 6850 over the 450/550! single card wise!!!!

But im just talking about bang for your buck!! ( gts 250,s in sli ) Plus with the first option you going from 3 to 8 gb ram..2 cores to 4 cores , and a sli mobo for future upgrades ! ( just my opinion)

Hmm. Okay well I think he will be keeping the GTS250, so I am just going to get the Nforce 750 SLi Motherboard for him, put a 955BE on there with 4GB RAM, and that leaves space for some upgrading. Thanks for the advice guys.
