The "MS Removal Tool" is indeed malware. However, I don't know yet how to remove it.

And if it doesn't get it all, you may need to run ComboFix as well.

AVG free was that bad huh? it just got through it.

would upgrading to MicrosoftSecurityEssentials+MalwareBytes be a better choice?

Yes and Yes! though that fake antivirus system hijacker thing is nasty and has broken down most if not all the walls I have tried to put up. Doesnt happen that often but it gets through on occasion, especially on my wife's computer for some reason. I have gotten to the point of knowing where it hides, I dont even bother with MB/MSE to try to take out the initial infection. Just restart in safemode manually delete it then use MB/MSE to scan and clean up any other mess

If your pretty good with computers download comodo internet security and look for a YouTube author named languy99 and search for his videos configuring comodo.

Most of the AntiVirus programs won't catch fake security programs at all only malwarebytes, hitman pro and drweb cure it really tackle aware hard.
