[Ars]Google: don't give private "trolls" Web censorship power - Page 5

"I may disagree with what you say, but will fight to the death for your right to say it"

Censorship of the internet will open a can of worms that will quite possibly never be closed again.

This doesn't have anything to do with kitty pr0n. This is an effort by private business to quash sellers of fakes and ripoffs from taking a piece of their pie, at least in their view. Caveat emptor, if you buy fake pills from a shady site and wonder why they don't work, you lost your right to complain. If they were bought legitimately, let a fraud investigation take care of it through legal, and constitutionally valid, means.

This is a very slippery slope that doesn't need to start.

Fascism is fascism whether it is domestic or abroad. Nonetheless, it is an extreme combination of both the right and left- the worst elements from fascism and marxism combined.

As other said, it is a dangerous slippery slope designed to erode freedom of expression. And you're right, we do have one of the best systems domestically, if we do not keep a watchful eye day by day, our freedoms will be undermined as we can already see.

We did not become the most prosperous nation by undermining freedom of speech.

No politics in the news sections, guys. I don't know how many times I need to say this.
