Yes, I'm sure that driver boosted your performance!

However, not nearly as much as the 69xx drivers.

Also, where's the 570?

But an increase is an increase right?

if a card was performing on par/better than the other AND it got a boost from drivers, woulnt that still mean it's better or at least on par?

Not really. The 570 wasn't held back that much by its drivers.

I'm not going to. My 6950 is only shader unlocked. His 570 will be faster.

lol...

I think its sad you're thumping your chest over a driver update that has games from years past.

Too much bias in this thread.

The only way to really know would be to have someone with an SB chip bench each configuration with the most updated drivers.

Nobody actually believes there is only a 1 fps difference between the 6950 cf and the 6970 cf, nor is there only a 1 fps difference between the 570 sli and 580 sli.

A loss is a loss, we all handle it in different ways. Deal with it. It's very much believable.

For the record, I don't believe in your 470 results either.

See wut i did thare?

A good friend of mine is running 570 SLI ...compared to the older driver he had some real improvements.
I will ask him to post his results here.
But drivers are only half of the story.
The other thing is that Nvidia and AMD of course both have games in which the performance of either the 570 and 6950 is being accelerated more efficiently.

We have to find benches that isolate that fact and just show plain results.
I think a good bench for that would be the 1.)Crysis Benchmark and 2.)Stalker
what do you think?
