Yeah, without a source that doesn't mean squat, really. We all know this isn't the case anyway.

I never said that the drivers didn't improve the performance, I said that it wasn't comparable to 69xx improvements. Which is basically what you're saying. How exactly is that false then?

Haha, wow.

Also OP my results do aid the OP, since the 570 is faster than the 470, you can consider my results to be a place mark in your search for the answers you seek.

If the 570 is faster than my 470s, but my 470s are pretty much on par with 6970s then its fair to say that 570s are faster than unlocked 6950s.

If that was too hard for you let me know, I enjoy posting in your thread with the ultimate goal of aiding you.

No one said it was comparable. The driver improvements were different to begin with. Some people are assuming AMD did 25% across the board...let's stop assuming.

Plus, you have a source?

I am not sure if you read some of the thread but there was a debate going on which card outperforms the other one.

And since that discussion was robbed of its seriousness by several trolls like for example balla here I am trying to set a mutual ground for a new discussion to begin

The date of the benchmarks is irrelevant because the old drivers restrained the 6950 anyway...posting those pics on the other hand becomes very much relevant because almost everbody here was certain about the fact that the 6950CF being unable to beat the 570 SLI at lower resolution and over all raw performance.

So please if you have time read some of the thread and come back with some benchmarks or oppinions of your own ...the important thing is that it contributes to the topic
listen Moe...all this " which card can outperforms another" is based on synthetic benchmarks and don't mean scuad without solid drivers, i have bean to the red side and after more than a year i give up,if you want single card in your rig i say go for it ,but CF ?..be my guest
look around the forums and find out for yourself...if 5FPS in some games is so important too you..well you know what to do,remember you may end up with just a bit faster card and bragging rights WHEN it works

Part I'm loving is how everyone is harping on the 11.4 drivers, while ignoring that Nvidia drivers have also improved since these comparisons. I'm going to laugh when Nvidia retaliates with 27*.** (no one can guess Nvidia driver numbers lol) and we see improved scaling on the 500 series. 570s top 6970s for single cards, but that's reversed in dual card setups? If you don't believe the drivers are at fault...

Currently, the Phantom/DCII 570s are able to overclock beyond what 6970s (by extentions 6950s) can do, and do so safely. There aren't many benchmarks at this range because the 570 isn't really seen as a SLI card. At $700 for SLI, most people would just step up to 580s or down to 1 580 or 560s, so SLI 570s end up rare, same thing as 6970s, 6950s are more common because of their ability to unlock allowing them a greater price/performance. 480s are the best price/performance card atm, followed by an unlocked 6950. Raw power below $400 goes to the 570 (or water-cooled 480).

If you really want some benchmark comparisons, get me a twin frozr 3 570, I'll pay to get myself a 2500k (aiming for 5GHz) and new mobo/ram, and we'll see exactly what two 570s running 1GHz on air can do to your 6950s. Heck, I'll even throw in 900 core runs. I'm rather confident that the OC'd 570s will top OC'd 6970s, 11.4 and all. You're not going to get accurate comparisons unless you use two identical systems. 2 560s with a 5GHz 2600k are going to stomp all over 2 580s with a 3.5GHz 1090T. You really want some true comparisons? Send a well reasoned email out to techpowerup or Tom's Hardware, asking for them to review their old comparisons in light of the new drivers - on both sides. They'll set up systems that differ only on gfx card, unlike what you'll get from this thread.

So keep crying that ATI > Nvidia on the Nvidia board while claiming you're not trolling. This thread has been transparent since you threw up a comparison on a targeted board when the neutral board was one click away.

Also, Stefy, I love how you're picking and choosing what matters. Power draw is critical but physX/Cuda are irrelevant? Lol. Seriously, OCN is typically above this kind of I'm not trolling, you're trolling stuff (seriously temped to link that Boxxy video)... Admit fanboyism where it is, respect each other enough to actually converse, and get on with your lives.

One final note, how the **** is this thread still open?

Three slot cards are awesome for SLI bro. I ignore the DirectCU unless we talk about single card solutions.

I also haven't said a word about CUDA and PhysX (it has been discussed however), so yeah. You're just mad, chillax. Power draw is actually relevant.

Benches have been post all over this thread. Care showing us some of your claims? Don't need to be yours of course.
