Are you going for multi-screen gaming? Are you looking to grab a third screen to play at 5000+ res?

Sounds like you want to put together a pretty high end system, you may need all of that budget you spoke of earlier.

All the games you mentioned I can get over 70 fps (crysis, DAII) with max settings with 470s, one on air, but the fan noise gets annoying without a case which is why I enjoy water cooling (aside from higher clocks).

Power wise you're looking at high end cards then because to get those FPS I needed 850+ core. So 560 TI SLI is going to be close, but not optimal. On the ATI side your only option would probably be the 6970/6990 but I'd stay away from dual gpu cards just because they typically don't overclock as well as their single card brothers.

What motherboard did you purchase for your SB setup? Is it x8x8 or a high end UD7 or Asus MAX IV?

If you must stay on air you're suck with either 6970 or 480/570/580. All four options will require SLI though, nobody has single gpu card that can max out the games you listed at 60+ fps, and if you plan to go higher res your best option probably becomes the 3GB 580.

What was the PSU you mentioned before I thought you said 1100, but what brand/version?

lol, I'm waiting for eVGA's GTX580 3GB variants, so I can just finish my build, since I have an U2711h, and in some games (Metro 2033 - since I haven't finished it, yet; Starcraft 2 - I haven't isolated the late game stutter down, but it seems to be related to running out of VRAM on my GTX570s).

I haven't purchased a motherboard yet, honestly, I'm using Crossfire 5850, and they're great, but I need to upgrade, and I'd like to try some Nvidia cards this time around.

I'm just going to be using the additonal monitor for surfing and whatnot while I play WoW, I have little experience with multi-monitor gaming, honestly. The reason I brought up the 580, someone said it was a great performer, and I could futureproof myself with it, and get another for sli down the line, if I needed the upgrade.

The PSU is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817814019.

Do you have a link to the 3g580?

Helping/Suggesting = Fighting? Are you stupid? Have you read anything I've said/asked?

Don't confuse me with the ATI fanboys. I don't care what letters it has on the product, as long as it does what I want.

'tard.

Sorry then. x_X

I asked something about a 580 and someone accused me of trolling. Guess I'm abit defensive at this point.

That Powersupply got a bad review somewhere, saying it does great up to 900w, then starts to ripple or something crazy. BTW, I use it. I've used it with my system overclocked, running my waterpump, and gtx295-SLI which draws a good bit of power without a hitch. So, I dunno how big of a deal it is.

It does come packaged very nicely, and it's shiny. Also, I am currently using it in my sig rig I do think I got it for a bit less than $200 when it was on sale, maybe $180 or so.

580 3gb is above and beyond overkill for 1080p gaming.

Hold on a second I gotta feed my kittens.
