i dunno man i like both cards.
coming from a 460gtx to a 5850 then to 6950.
i must say that the 6950 really filled the hole really well.
less power and a free unlock along with a huge crossfire scale.
i would lean more towards the 6950 over 570 in this fight.
although they are not the same in price. future wise the 6950 gives more options at less the cost if you take the psu into account as well. also i am a multi display user and getting 3 screens out of 1 card is another bonus.

I thought there was no hope because absolutely now reviews could be found featuring both cards.
But I have found the perfect review which will settle this arguement and solve this thread once and for all.

http://www.computerbase.de/artikel/g...e-gtx-500-sli/

Unfortunetly it is in german but you can use a translater or me
It is the only source with 25 pages pure review, benchmarking and clear end results.

I can conclude from this review the final resumee:
Both cards are very powerful and have their certain advantages.
That not only reflects in their features but also in their performance.
There are some games and applications that will run smother and better on AMD or Nvidia cards.
The benchmarks show the same thing.
There is no winner because considering that both cards when adding up their results perform equally.

Maybe at higher resolutions and high graph. settings like AA ,AF the 2GB 6950 is more suitable but that is only a small advantage

Overall great cards, great review and this thread can be closed with dignity at least^^

Finally!

If you look closely, the only games where Nvidia really pulls ahead is when the game is without a doubt optimized to run on their cards. You can clearly see the gap is unrealistic. We can only assume this has been fixed with drivers.

Never make a poll about AMD vs Nvidia cards on the Nvidia boards, you pretty much know what will be the end result.

How is not a winner? 6950 is a cheaper card than 570 and is just as fast in CF/SLI. 6950 wins.

Otherwise- great review!

Yes but this pole requires people to first gather the most relevant facts and reviews in order to vote fairly for the right card.

And come on ...you have to be able to lose with dignity
Maybe the 6950 is really a bit inferior ..which is ok considering the price difference?
This 25 pages review really opened my eyes to be honest.
You should take it with a laugh
It wasn´t a who beats who in the first place ..just medium to determine which card is the better performer
And the games that were benched are recent games so wth
Cheers 570 SLI does beat the 6950 CF it appears after all but only by a very tight fit^^.
But the 6950 is still a great card and a huge bang for the buck as you can see in the review
And as you can see Metro a supposedly Nvidia optimized game had the 6950 CF infront of the 570 SLI so I don´t think any games are really optimized for anything...both cards outclass each other at certain games

And you think the majority on the NVIDIA board will vote for an AMD card? They'd vote Nvidia no matter what, hence why it's pointless.

Anyone can vote on that poll, there's no guarantee people actually will do the required research to answer.

lol the Just Cause 2 benchmark cracked me up. Of course the AMD cards did better at max settings. The AMD cards cant do CUDA water.

Same with Metro, except with PhysX

if you'd like to find out more about how AMD cheats with image quality, give this a read
