Even though 6970 has better VRMs and more VRAM than the 570. It's not "fail" just not as good price/performance wise.
Supposedly the VRMs only are an issue for over-volting it. And you take that risk when you OC anything. However, on the same token, when a company makes a non reference version: Asus DirectCU, and MSI's TFII is an example of that at least. My 570 rocks for the same price as a refence 570

I think you and I are square.

You don't add anything to this conversation because all you can do is speculate and assume since you neither have the hardware, not the experience dealing with systems to know what is really going on.

Nobody here cares about what some website got at stock, with a 3.6GHz $1,000 cpu. We don't do things like that here.

As for my rig it was an upgrade, not a side grade as I came from AMD to SB.
That's kind of a big statement coming from a person who's been posting off topic in the entire thread. Even OP asked you to stop.

I don't really think you've got anything to say in this matter. This was a fight between 570 and 6950. You want to show off your 470s, that's nice and all, but not wanted.

This thread is off topic in the wrong forum, what exactly is your point?

Personally I think you're just mad I have 6970 CF performance for close to the price you paid for your single 6950.

Edit:

Just to confirm here, your card is about $260 in the states, CF would then cost $520.

I thought AMD had some kind of price vs performance advantage, perhaps that only applies at the low end gpus like their cpus.

Mad? I'd rather not invest in aftermarket cooling for already outdated cards, no thanks.

I don't really care how much you paid for your setup, neither does it bother me. I think this is more of a personal issue.

Considering my reference card ran 10C cooler than the 6970 while only being 5 fps slower I'm not sure you actually know anything about what we're discussing.

Have you been getting your information from those silly review sites again?

Your past behavior, based on your past posting history has led me to ignore your posts all together due to the aggressive nature in which you treat those who differ from your point of view.

Later on I will go ahead and read through this thread to see if your posting pattern has changed or improved, but right now, I don't have the time as I've got to get some work done.

I only posted the spreadsheet to help organize the results from the users.

So let's just leave it at that for now, and I will give you the benefit of the doubt, and will not post anything else on that matter.
Not that it is of any relevance for this thread but like you said yourself past posting history.
Also sorry but are you insane?
How can you possibly judge me to the extent you have done it and not even knowing what that person has done/tryed to improve the threads niveau, supervize, civilze and calm its many posters that don´t even bother to learn the facts first before they post including you or just troll????

Do you know that what you are doing is the worst type of flame and troll inducing behavior?
Insulting me , posting irrelevant different out of context ripped information to reinforce your false statement of me being a troll, flame war inducer etc?

You DID NOT even bother to read that I have tried EVERYTHING in my power to improve this thread every single page ...but yet still judge me to the fullest?!

EXACTLY that is what causes other people that act the same way "of not thinking first and gathering the information required to make such an accusation" to call me what you accused me of being as well and that is how it works and happens.

And that my friend is even worse than this Balla idiot which has terrorized this thread from the beginning and blaming me for his caused aftermath.

In the end I am held responsible for exactly that behaviorr I have so countless times tryed to undermine.
But it is ok ...I don´t mind.
I know I have done anything in my power to keep this thread under control.
If people were unable to do the same fine ...at least we could get a result due to the review ..which was after 57 pages also found and posted by ME.

I just want you to know that I feel very much offended by you and anyone else accusing me of being a thread war creator, troll etc etc and not even caring enough to actually read what I have don here.

This behavior is unacceptable and I hope you have learned from your mistakes here ...I can asure you I have learned from mine too which can so beautifully be found in the threads you keep posting of me.
I know I have done some mistakes in the past ..but if that is really your excuse to boot me down without even trying to understand what I have actually done here and not even giving me a chance in the first place then fine.

Thank your really nice and comforting to know that this is the mentallity being passed on.

It's not that strange to do 850 MHz on a stock cooler with a GTX 470. If you even have a good binned chip, 900MHz+ might be possible. I still run my cards at stock cooler.
