EDIT: Depends on your definition of sound quality as well. To some, sound quality is having a lot of bass. And, owning a subwoofer from the Pro Media set, I can tell you that the Klispch setup will put out quite a lot! To others, sound quality is having as exact representation of "actual sound" as possible with zero tolerance for distortion. You need to define what your definition of sound quality is.
I guess I just want the best speaker for the price of 150 and under, and if those speakers are considerable better than the cans I have now (HD555s) is what I'm looking for. Because if the Klipsch or the AV-40s can't rival the cans I have then there's really no point...I listen to all kind of music so it's kind of hard for me to say I listen to most DnB because my taste is so diverse that I listen to what sounds good to me at the moment...

The ProMedia will beat the HD555 on bass alone, not to mention that the rest of the audible spectrum isn't shabby either.

can the klipsch be used to connect to a mac mini then connect it to the TV? or I would need a reciever?

Or is there such thing as a an audi jack splitter that can go from the klipsch to the mac mini as well as the tv?
Pretty sure there's no such thing an an audio input splicer. Or whatever you'd call such a device.

I think you'd need a receiver, or at the very least, some sort of audio switching device, to be able to listen to both sources on the same set of speakers.

I can't say how the rest of the Klipsch Pro Media system is, since I only have the subwoofer for it (the rest is a Creative 5.1 system), but the sub puts out outstanding sound for having only dual 8" woofers. The one you're looking at (assuming it's the Pro Media 2.1) has a single 9.5", and less power (mine has 185w just for the sub), but knowing Klipsch's general quality, I can't see being disappointed with the PM 2.1 system. It's not going to compare with $1000 B&W speakers to an audiophile with detailed tastes, but it'll surely do your music justice!

alright so, I just came back from frys and bestbuy haha, I bought the Xonar DX(Didn't want to spend too much) and got the Klipsch Promedia at best buy, going to put both in now.

Now if I connect the promedia to the xonar dx then connect my headphones to the promedia is it the same as connecting the headphones directly to the xonar?
No, it's not. The Klipsch has a way of turning a good audio signal to crap with its built-in headphone jack. Avoid doing that and just connect the front audio to the Xonar DX.
