Solution to 6950CFX cooling?

I have my 2 6950 wiht giga p67 ud7 mobo and the 2 card is too close if running at 2x16, any idea on the cooling? water?

Yeah water is your best bet, I just went water about 3 weeks ago and Ill never go back to air, it cools your junk 10x better than air and is waaaaay quieter. Still trying to get used to the fact that when my gpu's are at 100% utilization there is no extra noise from the gpu fans.

Couldn't you just drop the second card down one slot? run it x16 and x8? you will not really see a performance difference maybe 2-3%

water loop. it will get a little pricey with the blocks and everything but if you want to water cool might as well include the CPU

Use the 8x slot for the second card, you will see almost not decrease in performance if any. I went through the same deal and there was just nothing other then watercooling that worked well.

Well I will, once my card comes back from RMA it's going back in to the x8 spot, I bought some extra long crossfire bridges so it will fit. I will probably be putting up a 16x versus x8 crossfire review too.
