http://www.japanquakemap.com/ 921 earthquakes since the big 9+! That hasnt happened in Christchurch NZ. Although there have been a lot of aftershocks in NZ.

eh, yes, there's been about the same in the same amount of time. Aftershocks decrease in frequency over time. there's been 5234 aftershocks here.
