Also, I would overclock the card a little more than just from 880mhz to 900, but at 910 im getting 83C after 3 mins or so of Furmark run, so I dont think I got any option but to leave it like that.

What was your Graphics score though ?
My graphic score it's 4702

that is not too high for the card, but it is a little high.

early on i reached my max temp, and it just flattened out. max of 68c with the same overclock of 1026mhz@1.07v.

and if you see, i have the fan set to auto. im at 68c, with only 77% fan.

You want to keep YOUR CPU under 62c. Thats the highest AMD wants you safely running it, although to be honest, you get better scores in benchmarks under 58c. The performance already begins to degrade. AMDs do not run as a hot as Intels.

As far 3DMark11/Vantage goes, the CPU score is always higher with a Intel based CPU. Always has been. There is extra performance to be had, but for most games the difference between the two CPUs is a measily couple of frames.

You will never be top of the benchmark scores with those Phenoms I am afraid, but its more important to game in my opinion, and there is very little difference @ 3.8/4.0/4.2 GHz stable overclock, with a higher CPU-NB frequency. Optimal is between 2600~3000 MHz for most people on that. That is the frequency of your CPU's communication, between all devices and memory. Having that faster increases performance all around, but mostly with multi-GPU setups. You won't notice a great deal of difference running at stock.

All the extra speed from the CPU / IMC / CPU-NB just allow data mainly to get to the GPU quicker to render/display. Now take into all the data being loaded into Memory, then to CPU, then to the GPU. Overclocking that is half the battle, then overclocking the GPU for more performance to use more data quicker/efficiently.

Just make sure to keep the 560Ti under 90c for a nice long healthy life, and you should be good. For the CPU, if you do overclock, get an aftermarket cooler absolutely, and keep temps under 62c again for a nice long healthy life.

Max voltages to use on the CPU vcore are 1.55v and the CPU-NB 1.55v. Don't start modifying them till you can cool them down.

Healthy achievable overclock: 3.8 GHz CPU / 2700 MHz CPU-NB, 1.425v CPU / 1.250~1.300v depending on the speed of RAM and total amount.

Note: Keep HT Link Freq at stock 2000 MHz, 1.10~1.20v (lower is better), it greatly increases heat and does nothing for performance.

Even my i7 was bottlenecking my sli 570's, had to bump it up to 4.2 just to max the cards out

RagingCain, thanks for the help, very appreciated.

Ill definitely get an aftermarket cooler soon and begin to overclock.
At first I thought something was wrong with my card because people got higher scores on the 560 Ti so, but then it was just a matter of the overclock I guess. Im still not sure if 100mhz can give a 400 or so extra graphic score, though.

RC, +Rep to you.
