GeForce GTX 580 3-way SLI - Page 2

Yeah a 1000w is enough ( but i have seen furmark and some aplications push it to high 900,s power draw) So 1000w or maybe 1200w For a little overkill and headroom!!!

If the money is not an issue, I should go for the 1200 power supply right anyways?

I mean, if my computer consumes 950 watts, then it will consume those 950 watts either in the 1000 power supply or the 1200 power supply right? or it will consume more in the 1200? o.o
A 850w should delievery enough for a OC'd 580 SLI and CPU, even my subpar TR2 is able to handle it.

Decent 1000w will be able to power 3way

I have i7 970 @ 4.4ghz with SLI GTX 580 with 18 fans and dual wc pumps and it uses aroung 850 watts while folding @ 100%. I have an AX1200 and is an awesome ps. Some times I run a 3rd card and it uses 1k watts. If you are going to run benchmarks and such I would get a 1200 watt psu just for a little headroom. There is no such thing as overkill but there is something called regret when you cut corners.

Thread Starter
I decided to go for the AX1200. Bought it already from newegg, so hopefully I will get it soon.
