P67A-UD4 power states

Quick questions.
When i 'enable' all the power saving features in the bios, CPUZ report that my CPU clocks up and down accordingly. Sometimes it get stuck in the lower power state, is this possible? or a CPUZ error

But in the bios if i leave the power saving states on 'auto' no downclocking happens, and it is as if all the power saving features are disabled. So does the UD4 automatically disable these? and if so why?

One last question. When i right click 'my computer' click properties, it states my processor as 2500k @3.3Ghz 5.8Ghz??? im not that good at overclocking!

it's most likely that cpuz is just reading it incorrectly if it looks like the core speed gets stuck at a lower frequency when at load. In regards to windows showing your cpu at 5.8ghz... that's definitely just a bug... it should say 3.8 not 5.8.

Which version of win7 do you have? make sure to get all of the updates available

also you are being loaded about 30% while in the BIOS, and the BIOS wont show any downclocking its not something odd, its just normal.

Yes i have all the updates for windows 7. I have just noticed that the speed is 5.8Ghz reported when i have the power saving stuff enabled only. Although CPUz rorts correct 4.5Ghz, strange bug.

Hi Guys,
I am definately having some strange problems with these power features. When they are 'enabled' in bios the CPUZ reports that the CPU gets stuck sometimes at the downclock speed. This happened today, it was stuck at 1.6Ghz. Ran prime 95 and it did not clock back up. Temps remained very low confirming it was stuck. However when i run the power asving features in 'auto' the cpu doesnt appear to downclock at all by what CPUZ shows and my temps.
Anyone with this board have the same issues?
