no lol guys i mean how do i test out SOUND quality i want to hear the beautiful sounds out of this XFi
Best way is to just listen to it. Think about what you "normally" hear on pc. Games, music, movies etc, and then go listen to that stuff. Pay attention to the sound. I picked about 5 songs and a few games (both fps and rpg to test audio quality and positional quality). Listen to it a few times with onboard audio then listen to it with soundcard. You should notice immediate improvement in the separation of sounds versus it all sounding mashed together.
also if it's not plugged into the card (ie usb headset), it won't benefit from it. I have a G35 as well. Using x-fi titanium HD atm and it combined with
blow the logitech g35 out of water for music (as long as you don't mind weak bass). x-fi positional audio in games is much better than g-35 virtual surround as well.
Sound is so situational though. Some folks can't tell a difference at all, and even some that can don't consider it enough to justify the $$$
