PSU for OC 2600k and gtx 580 Sli - Page 2

The PC Power & Cooling Turbocool 1200W is $500, but costs half what it costs to make an AX1200. There are a lot of idjuts who don't know that PC P&C is a rotting corpse being used by OCZ to bolster revenue for their SSD venture. The Turbocool 1200W is a design from 2005, and by modern standards is pretty mediocre for a 1200W.

While the PCP&C unit is an old design, I still think it would work just fine with two GTX 580's as long as you don't run LinX/Furmark simultaneously 24/7. As for cap aging, that really isn't an issue. With most high quality Japanese caps nowadays, you would hardly lose anything (<5% maybe?) unless the PSU is like 5-7+ years old.
