The last three ATI drivers have addressed 5XXX and 6XXX series cards. Go with 11.4. be sure to use drive sweeper to completeley remove prior versions of CC

I don't see any misinformation anywhere. He installed a bunch of different drivers, all of which work fine with a 5770.

Even if it is a driver issue, someone already said what you suggested, so you really were no help either. Helps to read the thread.

Mobo isn't going to make a 50+ odd fps difference, it really isn't important at all.

Same as above.

It does sound like a driver issue but he has tried many different drivers, so it's hard to say it's a GPU driver.

I've used 11.2, i said that in the OP, and it didnt work.
I'm actually using 11.3 at the present time.

I had a similar rig with a Ph.II 955, 5770 and 4GB ram. Framerate was always over 60fps in TF2. Make sure your CPU is not getting throttled (i.e only 800 MHz). Also, make sure your drivers are uninstalled and installed properly.

Just because he's installing different drivers doesn't mean he's uninstalling/reinstalling them correctly. For all we know know he's in a cluster of performance issues because he's improperly removing his graphics drivers.

The only the I can think of if the issue isn't PEBKAC driver faults, is your CPU is bottlenecking.

Has the OP disabled the integrated Radeon 3000?
Seems like your mobo is using that for your GPU, and it would explain the awful performance.
DL GPU-Z and see what it says for the GPU you are currently using.
Also, I have no idea if it works this way, but you may have to set your bios to hybrid CFX with the integrated GPU. I would still disable it though.
And I wouldn't worry about uninstalling drivers. It's a practice pretty much left over from the early days. The AMD drivers stack fine now.

And I have to say, why does EVERYONE assume that low performance is always the fault of no overclocking. Who in their right minds would look at the OP and think that his CPU would be bottlenecking TF2 down to that low of a performance level.
Sheesh, it's like some people just post based on the thread title.

I've disabled my intergrated video card.

I get like 10 fps in TF2 in DX8 mode AND everything on low.

I do have one comment. For about 2 minutes in TF2, my fps went from 10s to 250. This was short lived. It like instantly went back to mid-10s.

This has to be driver issues. Are you sure you're properly uninstalling and installing the current drivers? You should be able to find a guide online. (Not trying to sound rude but this could be the problem)

Completely uninstalled, then reinstalled multiple versions.

I'm starting to think it may be another issue though.
Like for example. No matter what my video settings are, I always get around 10-20 fps??

Will look for sound/bios updates.
