Hydrocopper build WC loop - Page 2

Yup saw them but the 2 Hydrocoppers I bought I aquired almost two months ago and tbh don't regret the purchase.

I've held off on this build for over a year just waiting for Sandybridge and I simply can't keep holding for the next best thing.

I'd have loved the 3GB versions but it would've mean't waiting another 2 months and my current system is really in a dire state and moving to being unusable.

To be fair atm I have a 22" LG W2261VP and use 1920 x 1080 resolution so arguably the 2 SLI hydro's I have is massive overkill and I can play everything with absolute max frames and awesome fps.

My next upgrade is likely to be a u2711 but even then the 2 x 1.5GB will be more than powerful enough to do exactly the same and I don't run multi monitors and have no intention to do so either.

running three or more monitors will require 2gb or more of vram per core tbh. I have to lower all my graphic settings to play a smooth run of metro on my setup. If you are planning to add three or more screens, hit up evga about a possible step up to the 3gb version.

lol yeah I can see why it'd look mad to sit on the hardware. Thing is I've been delaying this order for so long and I felt that if I just kept waiting and waiting for all my finance to come into place it'd never happen (especially with my wifes Ugg boot fascination!)

So I decided to finalise a spec and then buy the system is segments to ensure that the project would actually happen.

Just emailed EVGA about that step up program, when I went to follow the process for it the only card it'd let me step up to strangely was the cheaper air cooled GTX580 which is actually a major product downgrade.

As for multi monitor it isn't relevent to me as I say, I've no intention of moving to a multi monitor setup anytime in the future and my only major upgrade will be getting a u2711 so just a res increase.
