Is GTX 580 SLI enough for 2650x1600 - Page 5

I can't imagine why Dragon Age 2 would eat up that much memory at 1080p when it looks much worse compared to other RPGs on the market.

I thought I would share my personal experience.

I am running 3 120Hz monitors at a combined resolution of 5760x1080. To power this I am running 2 EVGA Geforce GTX 580 Super Clocked video cards in SLI. 12 Gigs DDR3 ram @ 2020Mhz. i7 970 at 4.0Ghz.

If I run these games in Nvidia 2D surround (With Max Settings) I get the following...
Left 4 Dead 2 - 100+FPS
Call Of Duty Black Ops - 70+FPS
Homefront - 60+FPS
Metro 2033 - 30+FPS

If I run these games in Nvidia 3D surround (With Max Settings) I get the following...
Left 4 Dead 2 - 75+FPS
Call Of Duty Black Ops - 30+FPS
Homefront - 20+FPS
Metro 2033 - 10+FPS

I believe some of the games simply work better in this configuration than others due to the engine and design of the game. Metro 2033 is pretty graphics intensive.

Again this is just my personal experience with my sig rig below. Hope this information helps.
