no difference w/o resistors. Any opinions on cool it systems? My roommate is getting like 26C on his AMD x6 at 3.7ghz. Should i remove the paste and try again?

my lowest core is at average 26-28c...i'm using Noiseblockers indicated on my Sig Rig. I'm also using the resisters that came with the H70, and my Raven is at the lowest fan speed too.

See, I don't understand that. I have every fan on max, most are just plugged into the psu anyway.

@OP:

dude... id does not help if you got 200 fans in your case at all to keep temps down if you do not have them set up correctly with an intake and exhaust. and since you are running a H70 you want cold air to go through it and not the hot air that is circulating in the case...

my advise is try and get as much of the hot air in the case from the diffrent components out a diffrent outlet and try and direct cold clean air from a diffrent fan to the rad... that way you will get good temps....

i know what i said can be a pain in the a55 but it is well worth it. i did it to my setup and i am running (depending on the day) up to 10 degree cell but nothing under 5 degree cel.

Hrm I have my H70 setup as front mounted intake and it's always ambient idle temps, and I'm currently about 40 hours into a 100% cpu usage Folding run and it's at 37C. This is CPU temp, not core temp. And I'm using the resistors with my H70 on stock fans.

Sometimes having to weak or to powerful of a fan in the wrong place can mess things up. Try different configurations.
