Thanks. My preset makes music very clear. I don't know why. I was getting bored with my EQ being flatlined and decided to play with the EQ. After messing around with it for 45 minutes or so, I decided that this was the best EQ for me for almost all types of music. It really helps to pull voices out of music, slightly bump bass without muddying the music and also make everything sound clearer.

The only DSP I ever used really was the "HF" DSP which basically just gave you a flat EQ and was for listening to music, but after making my own EQ I've never used it again. I believe the "GX" DSP is for EAX games, which I don't play with. The Music DSP sounds like crap. The Movies DSP sounds like crap and I think the game DSP sounds the worst.

Just my opinion on the matter though.

At most, I may used Dolby Digital for gaming, that's about it though.

????...it'll be fine..really. Yes, they are hear higher frequencies than us but that';s only if there are those frequencies there to begin with which with regular 44.1Khz audio, there isn't. Even at higher sampling rates, it'll be so small in sound intensity it's negligible.

http://siriusdog.com/article215.htm

Basically: If it's too loud for you, it's too loud for your dog. If it's fine for you, it's fine for your dog. Sound frequency range is not the same as sound intensity! As with humans, once they reach old age (in dogs, 10 human years +), bodily functions like hearing start to fade naturally.
