which one is better in that respect?
The M50s are pretty balanced. They're really really good headphones for the price.

If you desire MORE bass...more..."real punchy, heavy bass." Then I would suggest Ozma 5's (which are rebadged Ultrasone 550s)

Ultrasone 680s also fit well in your budget, but again, they super-emphasize bass. Ultrasones are really great for Trance, Dubstep and other very bassy vocal-less tunes. They suffer on highs though.

its sooo hard to chose, Im not really bias towards any frequency range because I listen to too many types of music in the end.

my westone earbuds sound amazing for classic music and such but drop highs on heavy bass music because of the single driver design.

so far its looking like the m50s though

$150? bass and soundstage? Ultrasone PRO550

http://cgi.ebay.com/ULTRASONE-PRO-55...#ht_2235wt_910

Superlux have a bass oriented model based on the DT990 frequency response however the PRO550 is better SQ wise. It'll be better than M50 as well. The M50 is good for around $100, but better can be had with more money. Also the M50 has a small soundstage.
