Top 5 free MMORPG's you have played?

1. MapleStory - The game I play the most. I mainly enjoy it because I skype with my guild and we do bossruns and whatnot.

2. RuneScape (Flame Shield Activated) - I personally really enjoyed this game. Sure, the graphics suck, but the game play was quite enjoyable.

3. Dragonica - Only 2.5D game I have ever played. Similar to MapleStory only it isn't a button-masher. Insane variety of skills and items. I would have really gotten into it but none of my friends played it. Highly recommend that you guys try this out.

4. Perfect World - This game had a lot of potential. Similar to WoW only graphics are better. I really enjoyed the quests in this game, as well as the item stat build-up. Too bad not too many people played it, or else it could have been fun.

5. Runes of Magic - Probably the game with the most potential out there. Glitches and bugs made the game unstable at first. Dual-Class system is extremely fun to play around with. Very similar to WoW but has it's own differences as well. Not too many people play it. First time I played it, the first town I got to had only NPC's in it.

1. LOTRO - It became semi free now, but was a subscriber for a long time.
Great game and best community in the genre. smile.gif
Waiting for the next expansion to hop back on and play again for the story.

2. Runescape - One of my first MMOs, so it deserves to be on my list.
I did enjoy it, but grew out of it. >.<<br />
3. Silkroad - Bots killed the game, that is all. mad.gif

4. Maple story - Side scrolling game, something different and kept me entertained for a while.

5. Not sure...I have more but nothing else I liked.

I played MapleStory since beta came out until Level 138(iRageApples) it was a fun game when I young. Can't get into it now since everything changed.

I guess I'll list the only MMOs I've played:

1. TwelveSky2 - I was on youtube and saw an advertisement which said join the Beta, played it till G1 then I started playing Dirt 2

2. Rohan Blood Feud - Played it till level 32 I liked the game but I couldn't get into it

3. Dekaron - Played this until level 55 bots killed it for me and I couldn't find anyone helpful to teach me how to play correctly.

4. Maplestory - Started playing with a friend until we got older and noticed that the game was very childish even though it was addicting. It kinda started feeling like a job because the guild I was in named Essence/Crysis used to go on things called Zak Runs which we sold Helmets called Zakum Helmets.

Man, I've despised everything on that list. I can't seem to enjoy any of those low-budget free-to-play "Korean" MMO's, whether I play with friends or not.

For me, in no particular order:

1. EVE Online: Underrated; it takes a metric crapton of time to really get the REALLY nice ships, but it's made so that one can get into the more exciting portions of the game relatively quickly. I played a 21-day trial and got into a cruiser, which is solid enough to dabble into really any part of the game.

2. World of Warcraft: Anyone who says this sucks is severely biased. I can't play it solo like I used to, and I kinda drew away from it after coming to college, but I can definitely hop on and play with friends.

3. Planetside: Not traditional, but hella sick. I didn't play it back in its golden days, but I dabbled into it here and there, and it could've easily been my favorite game.

I think that's it... I've tried others like LOTRO (meh), DnD Online (overwhelming and a letdown), Warhammer Online (terribly overhyped by their PR dude, a letdown), Age of Conan (a fantastic game, really, but I think they lacked endgame content to hold people in), and a few of the smaller titles like City of Heroes, Global Agenda, etc. but none of them really impressed me enough to bother with a run at the trials.

EDIT: I want to hear about this grandma business in your sig... weren't you the one that said in another thread that your grandma got a GTX 590?

DnD online... That game is far too complicated. There are like 20 different stats for each weapon, and it takes forever to learn them. And I hate the dungeon system too. The version I played was called Eberron or something like that.

Also, I wasn't the person you are thinking of. I have seen someone else on OCN with a very similar to Avatar to mine (It also says In Flames, and it is the same logo, but different background) but I don't know him personally.

1. Ragnarok Online - Played when it wasn't free, but has a free server. Loved it and still play on... ahem "other" servers.

2. Dungeoun Fighter Online: Epic 2D Side-Scrolling goodness, 'nuff said.

3. DnD Online - I like playing DnD - Biased.

4. Vindictus - Great but limited to 3 classes and pre-selected gender is meh.

5. Runescape... Only cause I played it like 10 years ago and was good back then, quit after some month playing it.

1. SWGEmu.com for Pre-CU Star Wars Galaxies...has points that are bad and a lot of good points though.

2. AION: The Tower Of Eternity - I played retail (which isn't Free) and the game is so freaking slow that it's not funny so I switched and played Private server and love it a lot. (Private servers are free to play). It's all the fun in AION without having to spend 5 months to get to level 55.

3. Ragnarok Online - I played when it was free originally and then when it went pay to play, I played for a couple of months but then quit. RO is one of those games that is immensely fun to play but extremely slow. It's like 5000x better on a private server with high rates but it gets old fast as you miss out on a lot of the fun things about the game.

4. Sword Of The New World - it's a really interesting Korean MMO. Instead of being in control of one person, you get a party for 3 people with something like 9 different classes to select from and you can choose your party based on your needs at that moment. The only bad part about the game is that it's quest based and unless you start playing during a day when a lot of other noobs start playing, it's kinda lonely as almost all the other people in the game are high level. It's also called Grando Espada or something like that.

5. Lineage II - Also, on private server, this game is just fun so long as you find good people to play with. I don't know why but the people will either make or break this game for me. Unfortunately though, because most private servers disable the quests, once you hit max level and buy all the gear from the GM shops, the only really fun thing to do is PvP and Lineage II's PvP system is something else. Essentially, if you just go and attack another player, you turn purple and if you kill them, you turn red. Dieing while purple doesn't really have a consequence but dieing while red does. You have a chance of dropping some of your equipment and others can pick it up. The only way to turn back purple from red is to go kill something that's your level (since most servers won't let you kill anything below you anymore). So a little bit of fun with a bit of a downside.
