oh i agree that 99% of there stuff is waaaaaay over rated and priced however people seem to be on the if one product sucks then all of them do kick. Instead of looking at each one for its own merrit. Even the i5 and i7 versions of the m11-x are retarded expensive, but $600 for the base model in my opinion is an awesome price for the features you get. Dell certainly priced that at just the right spot and kudos to them for it.

(now if they could just do it for the rest of the alienware stuff lol )

Yup, the GPU is the most important thing anyways. The new Sandybridge CPU should offer a nice performance benefit. I'll be getting the SB Dual-core with the 540m, it should play any game I need on medium/high I mean... It's going to be awesome having the biggest desktop case (or one of them) and the smallest gaming laptop... mmm both ends of the spectrum.

Oh yeah, I also game on my 46" TV... I sit 2 feet away lol, it's actually alot better than I thought it'd be.

ya im definitely interested to see how the sandybridge cpus perform compared to the current line of m11-x's for them to get the performance they do while still maintaing a core clock under 2ghz is incredible. Hopefully the base price will be right around what it is now.

And ive never gamed on a tv that large before bet thats a great experience!

Eh, It's okay. I have to switch to Game mode as the TV is 120HZ and if I try playing on normal mode I get around 40ms input lag... it's pretty bad lol

Lol, I can sit on my couch and use a crappy wireless keyboard and mouse but I prefer my Deathadder / Lycosa. I always like to impress my friends that play Xbox/PS3, it truly gives them a sense of how much better PC's are graphically, especially when projected onto a huge TV where you can pick out the details easier.

so it's basically this with a 11" screen, a slower processor and a higher price tag?

Yep you got it. But still, even low-clocked Sandy Bridge CPUs are beasts. More than enough for any game, period.

On a personal note though, the main thing that turns me off about the M11x is the look of it. The Sager notebooks look professional, something I'm not embarrassed to have around friends. The M11x on the other hand looks well, goofy.
