Need a soundcard and headset

So, I have about 100€ saved for a decent headset or a audio card.

I dont know alot about audio, and would probably buy a 5.1 headset.
I know it wont sound like a real 5.1 setup, but it sounds better then a stereo headset in my opinion.

I've never had a real audiocard and always heard that they really improve audio quality, so I would like to test that out aswell.

I would like to hear your suggestions!

DO NOT buy a 5.1 headset. Take it from me and everyone else.

Reasons: Multiple speakers to break, less accurate sounds. Most 5.1 headsets are USB. USB Will not benefit from your sound card as it uses it's own drivers.

Once I spent $300+ on a 5.1 headset that was 3.5mm for the connection... it broke in 2 weeks.

This, this, and more this. Spend time actually researching for real headphones, not crappy headsets. Here at OCN, the Sennheiser HD555 and Audio Technica ATH-AD700 are the most recommended cans for new people, so you might want to look into that. Just slap on a decent clip-on mic for communication, and you're good to go.

The problem though is that you're splitting your €100 towards two things, one for the soundcard and one for the headset. Frankly, I don't think that kind of money will get you somewhere. Maybe focus on just one thing first, then save for the other. IMO it would be a better move.

Editted my post to make it 'or'

After looking more into the prices I understand that 100€ wont get me far.
Both the HD555 and AD700 arent an option here because I can't find a shop that sells one of them.

Ah, I see. Well, if you could get a deal online then it would be better. Not a lot of brick and mortar shops sell these kinds of headphones sadly, only the usual Bose, Monster and Skullcandy ones.
