The barbs are 1/2. The tubing will fit quite snug over the barbs. To be honest, you wouldn't even need clamps. But I put them on there for good safety.

Even with 7/16 i would use clamps. Maybe just for peace of mind....

with the 7/16 hose i couldn't take it off with all my might when i messed up and needed to re-arrange it. I had to cut it with some sharp scissors. Having said that i am pretty sure, if put on correctly, you wont see any leaks even without the clamps... i put them on just to make double sure

Be safe and use clamps...and not the plastic clip-on excuses XSPC provides, make a trip to your local hardware store for real metal hose clamps.

Dip the ends of the 7/16" tubing in boiling water before you push onto the 1/2" barbs.

It'll make your life much easier.

So you actually saying the clamps provided by XSPC in the RASA 750 kit aren't that safe ? its prefered to use metal clamps which are those put on hose ?

If you're worried about safety I wouldn't use the plastic dealios. They're hard to get tight, and even when tight in testing I managed to wiggle a hose loose enough to get water to leak. If you're using longer barb fittings it isn't that much of a deal. With stubby barbs a la Swiftech or the barbs with Rasa, I'd replace em.

Call me paranoid, but real worm-gear tightened hose clamps only cost $1USD a shot. Very cheap insurance policy in case you're ham-handed and bump something.

The clamps they provide sometimes do not even fit snugly on the hose from what I remember, A screw style clamp is much better then the push together type IMO

Alright thanks.

I will try to get some black of those clamps at some shop here. And yes i am paranoid so i prefer buying safety.
