if i want to go back to blacks ill just plug my 6gv2 back in. I guess they are hoping people are going to pay that because of the aesthetics.

Sure doesn't LOOK like a Xarmor.

Looks a lot better.

this is more in line with the 7G, but with backlighting and a proper US layout

if the 7G could sell for $149 retail, this can as well.

although they'd be smart to include a $99 bare bones version with no back lighting, no wrist rest, and no pass-through ports to better compete with the BlackWidow and 6Gv2

Aesthetics have kept companies like Apevia and Raidmax alive for decades.

As for the board itself, it looks quite a bit like a Das Keyboard to me. The general layout at least - the Fn key position is the same, as is the extended cluster on the right side of the space bar. The key spacing also looks about the same.

I can't find ANY US retailer that is selling this yet, but there are countries in the UK that I have found it on though. I really want to pick one of these up. Would be my first Mechanical Keyboard from a short stroke logitech backlit keyboard.

I think I am getting old because I am beginning to hate LED lighting on Fans, Illuminated keyboards etc.

I'm getting old too, but while the led fans are just useless, a backlit keyboard is damn useful.
