New ITX Build inside Lian Li PC-Q07B *MODDING*

Thread Starter
Okay, well finally got my hands on an ITX case for a reasonable price and last night I put everything inside. Its my sigrig.

I have purchased a modular PSU which will be replacing the CX so I dont have so many cables.

Now onto my problem... Its so cramped in there that there is literally no airflow.
Temps when I had the same build open air on top of a box >
CPU @ 4Ghz/1.186v 52 under load (I am on stock cooler atm)
Now the CPU gets to 80c in Prime95 at the same settings, which meant I had to drop back from the 4.3Ghz OC I have been running.

And the GPU, before it was hitting 47c whilst pegged at 99% useage in BFBC2 with locked 25% fan speed.
Now I have to crank it up to 100% to keep in the low 50's and it sounds like a jet.

The case is so beautiful and i love how small it is, but it really is cramped inside so I have decided I am going to mod it with a water cooling loop, this will almost 99% be done externally unless I can figure something crazy internally. I have never used more than a corsair H70 in terms of WCing before so am taking help from my m8ate on the forums.

Has anyone had any experience modding ths case, if so, what have you done to it?

depend on video card your useing . think about a h50 radiator at bottom of case where hard drives normally fit . cut 120mm hole through bottom for air . i think there is enough room.

depending on what your doing for hard drives a solid state drive i had above the optical drive area as there is space there.

or consider this for air cooling

sfx powersupply and then use a gemini s heatsink . this is moderate cooling as i feel the watercooling is better approach

another location if needing a 3.5 drive to mount is picture below
