So lets say you leave it enabled:

If it does what it is suppose to then it should only under clock the CPU and reduce the voltage when the CPU is not under load. BUT let's just say that by a chance that it doesn't do what it is suppose to and it reduces the CPU speed and voltages when your playing an intense online game and you're computer crashes due to it being so unstable.

That being said,
It's just much easier to disable it, unless of course your some energy efficient freak.

Actually, it is stable 24/7 and throttles perfectly. I haven't seen any "crashing", and it throttles to max speed/voltage while the game is booting up. By the time your seeing the pre-game logos and your not in the menu, it's at full speed/voltage.

And I'm not an "energy freak", just that having a large CPU heatsink fan at 100% all day is ear reckoning.
