Best SSD for Boot/OS

Thread Starter
I imagine this question has been asked a million times, but I'm going to ask anyway.

I'm looking for the 'best' SSD to install windows 7 on for my new rig. Seems that intel's X25-M is the one to buy, because they're more reliable (?). The thing is that the Vertex 3 is still too expensive for me right now and I wan't my OS on a different SSD than my games/autoCAD etc...

  • Is this X25-M the best bootdrive? And why?
  • Are there any issues using 2 SSD's seperately, one for OS (X25-M) and one for applications (Vertex 3)?

Thx

You generally want the best 4k performance.

Usually a sandforce or c300 will put you there.

Will I run into any problems when I'll use a second SSD (vertex 3) for other applications?
