Shall i OC some more?

Thread Starter
Hey guys,
i've currently got my CPU OCed to 4ghz - i've got HyperThreading disabled as its not really much use and SpeedStep enabled so my CPU will dynamically adjust as necessary.

Would i benefit in gaming/general use much by OCing it further?

Below is my CPUZ validation with the current voltages etc.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1757180

Would it be safe for me to OC further or is this pretty stable as is orrr? (any feedback appreciated!)

Thanks !

Geriden

Gaming, probably not. Encoding video, go for it.

Hello . . . . Stop and look around at what forum you are at . . . igotmychipatthisclockanimmagunnastop.net ?? NO OVERCLOCK.NET

But seriously its all your choice. 4Ghz is a good OC on a i7 920 You are degrading the life of your chip when you raise the volts. . . Only you can say when you had enough, and feel comfortable.

You should try using a 191 BCLK and a 21x multiplier; it would ease up on the IMC and the mobo in general.

Ok, what should i do with SpeedStep? Shall i set the BCLK and multiplier as suggested and leave my SpeedStep enabled? I like that it dynamically adjusts as needed, to save up on a little juice
