5830 is definitely the weak point, aim for at least a 5850.

Then again, that all depends on why screen you have, and what you will use the PC for.

The 5830 isn't that bad for gaming, in most cases it'll do_ but for the price I would've went with the 5850 instead_ a few more dollars nets you a better card_ (If your still under the 30day return policy, if it applies to you, return it and replace it for a 5850 for a few dollar more, but then most places charge restocking fees, lol)

Anyhow don't feel bad about it, my old HD5770 still performs extremely well on a 22in monitor with everything maxxed out on my old machine.

Everything seems good for a first build(looks like you should've done more research, perhaps you would've gotten more for your money)

Overall its a good build, hey I made a few mistakes my first build(in fact I overpaided for a lot of hardware on my first build, when I could've gotten better for less)

The card isn't that bad, could it be better? Definitely, could it be worse? Asbolutely. It will perform just fine for gaming.

You really don't need a soundcard with that board IMO, the sound quality from the board's "7.1 surround sound" should be plenty for gaming and or movies. UNLESS you plan on attaching a full recording studio or actual 7.1 surround sound system don't worry about it.

I had your board for about a week (to test it out) its not a bad board at all, but in fact you could have gotten the same one as I am running the Gigabyte GM-880GPA for just a bit more and have a quite a bit better performing board.

CPU looks good

I'm going to be honest and tell you I've never heard of your RAM make so I'm not sure how that performs, but it is 1600MHz which is good.
