vga and audio to red white yellow rca

So my current laptop is a 15" Toshiba. I like the number pad and that stuff. The issue I have is that I want to hook up to a bigger screen where ever I go. I was at a hotel and the tv didn't have a vga or dvi hook up. So what I want to do is convert a vga to a yellow rca plug. Since that would only give me video I would then want to take an audio plug and convert that into the white and red rca cables. This would make it so I could hook up to my laptop and most tvs. I looked on amazon and they don't really have much for vga to rca. It's all hd rca plugs. The problem with those is that not all tvs have hd rca inputs. So is there a way I could mesh vga and rca and audio and rca? Or does someone know another place I should be looking for these cords? Thanks.

1) Audio is red and white, not yellow and red
2) Your resolution would be crazy lo-def.

Something like this might work for you
http://sewelldirect.com/pc-to-tv.asp

Probably this for audio

although you could probably find them much cheaper.

Thanks for the links! Sorry about the typo up there I know its red and white for audio, just one of those moments. Why would my resolution be way low-def? Would it just keep my monitor resolution then stretch the pixels or something?

I have a toshiba c655 too, it's a great budget laptop
Anyway for video I think he is right... Quality will be bad, as the highest a single yellow RCA will output is 480i... But if that's all the TVs are compatible with, it doran matter, that's what your gonna get!
As for sound, I have a perfect solution. Get a "3.5 inch male to RCA cable"... One side is like a headphone plug, goes into your headphone jack
Other side is red/white RCA cables which go in the TV!
I'm typing this from my iPod so I cant really link you to a page with the cable, but my next class (about an hour) I'll find you one for probably $5 shipped.
If the TV WAS HD but just didn't have a VGA or dvi input, and it had a Component HD or HDMI input, you can get "USB to HDMI" adapters.
Sorry for typos, typing paragraphs from my iPod sucks.

Eh I decided to check on my iPod. Have nothing better to do....
Here, converts VGA to a yellow component
http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2
And here, 3.5in to red/white RCA

Under 30 with shipping (probably), does exactly what you need, comes from a veryttustrd site (I buy there All the time... Their cables are high quality!) and if you order today it will probably be here by Thursday, fast shipping

That's supposed to say "Very Trusted Site" not verytrsted or whatever I put

Just notice the converter also supports Svideo and includes a VGA, composite, AND svideo cable
