This is just fascinating. I've truly enjoyed going through this thread and seeing the amount of craftmanship you've displayed with this desk/case. As a fellow Surround/Eyefinity user, I've been wanting something custom like this for a while seeing as most stands only support up to 24" monitors in Landscape.

Subbed from here on out, amazing work. thumb.gif

Thank you.

I'd like to tell you I kept track as well as I intended. It's hard to say though. In all.. I'd estimate around 450-650 hours. That includes all the time I spent standing around headscratch.gif and bs'ing with company about it. biggrin.gif

Thanks! Yeap I looked at eyefinity stands forever... I couldn't justify the cost in the end.. Besides this is so much more stylish than some $300 cold metal rack. smile.gif

Somebody else asked the same question. Indeed I've considered it. I'll probably end up doing it with plugs when I have some spare change. I pondered constructing it with them all hidden at the start. As clean as it would look in the end I decided against it. The desk is already on the verge of looking disproportionate imo. If I would have built it to hide screws it'd be a beast of a box under that poor lil top or I just wouldn't have had the interior space I wanted.yessir.gif

Also... I'm giving her a drink at this very moment.

Also also uploading pics in a bit biggrin.gif

Right on bro! I completely understand. In the process of engineering the pinball table to hide all of the screws, the interior box became so stiff (read: over engineered) that it almost negated the use of the accelerometer. We could barely shake the thing! I like this build either way. Very cool. The color is great too! Now, I'm gonna go check out the newest pics biggrin.gif.

Thanks and sorry guys. It's been pretty dark and gloomy the last couple days so I've not turned out the best shots. These awful dining room lights in here just don't cut it. I have a some shots from today but I'll try to get some better overall views tomorrow.

It's kind of hard to tell through the glass but you get the idea here. I'll get some without the top for ya tomorrow. smile.gif
hpim3157.jpg

Fan and switch wiring that runs down the right side. Helluva mess this was. I got the cable clips at the local hardware joint for a few dollars.
hpim3112.jpg

hpim3142.jpg

I didn't realize how jacked up looking the larger shrink that I bought locally was compared to the good stuff I got online till I this pic.

Hate... If these weren't so ugly I might have waisted my time to put a plexi view port in the tabletop to see them (even though it's hidden behind the monitors). If...
hpim3145.jpg

I put down a bit of this weather strip to fill the bit of router'd gap under the tabletop for now. It's fubar in the front though. It's the perfect thickness. I should have stuck it on the tabletop instead. It'll get shredded when I remove the top.
hpim3150.jpg

hpim3155k.jpg

This shot is a touch dark and the next horribly yellow from the lights but give you an idea of the contrast in the stain.

Almost there!

Again.. I'll try to get yall some better shots of the interior that aren't close ups heh. Until then.
