The grills along with most of this stuff I'm ordering off of performancepcs.

I have that same tool kit for sleeving but have not got to use it yet, does it not work that well at all? would the tool that Nils sales on MDPC work way better?
I can't be sure if the MDPC tool is better as I've never used it. The sunbeam kit is alright. I think it's more the case of I need to practice a bit more and the 24 pin sleeve was just a plain old stubborn arse.
Messing around with a 6 and 8 pin extension this morning I managed to get all 14 pins out in less than 5 minutes. In the case of the 24 pin it was like the atx extractors tips weren't wide enough to push the tabs down all the way. So I'd have to use half the tool on one side and the staple on the other. After doing a little reading I've realized you really do have to yank the wire out with pliers at times to get em out. It's just scary as I don't want to accidentally yank the wire out of the pin.

got a picture of you using a staple? kinda curious how that goes haha

super clean heatshrink cuts!!
For sure. I'll post more on it later and thanks! I just used plain ole scissors. We'll see how it turns out.

I see. hah No really though I was probably thinking about dusting this mess when I posted that and litterally mixed the G5 mouse with the G9 Kirby.

It's turning out to be harder than I thought to get some good shots of the finish on this thing. The first couple I showed yall a few updates back were some of the better ones sadly. Let me say sorry now if some of these hurt the eyes heh.

If it would be half way visible I'd see if Q would make a couple brackets with the lettering flipped. We'll see with everything in there.

I used a couple coax cable holders to tie down the disc drive wires. Not the greatest looking but it keeps the wires from sagging into the keyboard area and the fans on the radiator will cover it.

I definitely need to work on my stain skills. At the right angle it almost looks as though it was sanded in areas with 60 grit sandpaper. It's quite smooth to the touch just looks odd in places. Ah well it will be better by tabl3 rv2 I swear.

Some shots of the drive cover closed. It's nice and flush but the quality could be better.

I have 4 AP-14's for now that will go on the rad intake. 4 high speed yates on the other side of the radiator. Hopefully enough to push some decent airflow through the desk. Finally 4 low/mid speed yates on the far end for exhaust.

Next on the list is installing a vandal switch, a couple switches for the cathodes and maybe usb ports. I'm thinking of placing them behind the front right leg all stealthy under the case.

Clear coat on the front corner metal work, mobo i/o panel and panel fan/shroud should be dry later today. I'll get shots of those up soon.

@Cope Sorry man I never made it to sleeving today. I'll try to get that stuff you asked for posted up in the next update.

Until next time space cowboys.

Bleh I just woke up to a house full of egg smell... Easter already?! That puts a damper on the weekend work.

On the plus side.. Egg Salad Sandwiches FOR DAYS! Muahahahaha! They will pay for their treachery.
